Geting to Know Ms. Gonzales
Here is a little about me and what I represent as a teacher!
Cultural Experience
I chose to experience a Basque French restaurant in Chino, CA. The experience was amazing. The wait staff was pleasant. There were locals that visited the family dining often. They all shared their experiences with the restaurant and how it filled their lives. I truly enjoyed this experience and plan to visit again.
Play-Doh Lesson Planning with Economics
Using Play-Doh as a tool in the classroom is fun and exciting. I found this lesson to be useful in understanding how students can learn in different environments.
Annual Pacing Schedule
Having a year-long pacing schedule can help the teacher keep in task. I found that this was not difficult to manage or complete. I liked created this as an example for my future students.
Integrated Lesson Plan for Social Studies and Other Subjects
If there could be one example that reflects me as a teacher, it would be how well I create lesson plans. I feel it is important to write a lesson like I am writing to a substitute. With a clear and concise form of communication, the individual instructing a class can follow where I have left off and I can puck up where the substitute left off. I love creating lesson plans.
Website Investigation
I chose to look at a University for my investigation. I welcomed the reading and development of what Berkeley and how humans have become dependent on technology. I believe this would be a great asset to my classroom for my future students to understand and get to know.
Twin Text
I chose to work with Christopher Columbus. I worked with a fiction and nonfiction books to help my young readers comprehend the differences, reading, as well as historical facts. I loved creating this project and what it taught me. Developing a comparison with two books from different writing styles was exciting.
