Culturally responsive teaching is important because it focuses on learnings strengths of students. Teachers should also not allow students to be bias and prejudice in class towards other students. Every teacher should respond and be responsible for the academic success of each student by caring about a child’s learning strengths. There are always going to be challenges in class but teachers need to help connect classrooms and cultures to avoid stereotypes, stereotype threat, and generalizations.
