PE/Health/Fitness Materials for Children
This book is small chapter picture book on healthy snacking habits. It is a book that was provided to me by the school I work at from MyPlate. It is a 1st grade reading level book that can interest children from Pre-K to 2nd. This book described what snacks were for; fueling you until the next meal. A page on what MyPlate was and what it could be used for. It gave several good examples of tasty and healthy snacks children could make or grab on the go. I n the back there were more snack ideas, a glossary, a list of the other MyPlate books, interesting sites, and an index to find key words throughout the book. I really enjoyed the colorful pages and pictures. The wording had a nice flow to it that made it a very smooth read for and to small children. I think I enjoyed the diversity of the children featured throughout the book, it made it more accessible to students seeing themselves and peers in the book.
