Research Update
I thought that the research presented in this update was fascinating. As a teacher I have noticed myself the way that my students engage when I give them visual arts integrated assignments. Something as "boring" as vocabulary words can be exciting and meaningful when all I have to do is let them draw them out. Below is a video that I thought highlighted this researches use of art:
Resources
Lesson planning: KinderArt
Game and/or activity based: List of Online Games
I chose this site because it was easy to navigate and had great resources. This Glogster has 13 links to different art-based online games that are user friendly for even the youngest child. They are perfect tie-ins for the end of a lesson that help assess students, and they are fun.
Museum site with an education department: Smithsonian’s History Explorer

I really enjoyed these videos was how they talk about the artist life and how it effected their work. I think these would be great introduction videos for lessons on artist or when talking about a art period.
